The Hound Knife was originally crafted as a custom order to be awarded as a prize in dog trials. Despite its name, it is also perfectly suited for enthusiasts of other hunting dog breeds, such as those who hunt with pointing dogs.
Our dog knife series is designed for practical use, with materials carefully selected for durability. The handle is made from lacquered curly birch with a brass lower bolster. A dark leather stripe accents the top of the handle, while the upper bolster is a bronze cast of a hound’s head.
The blade is polished carbon steel with a length of 10 cm. The sheath is made from light-colored leather with brass fittings and is embossed with an image selected for its purpose. Technically, the same knife is also made with a spitz head, known as the Elkhound Knife.
