The Kloppi Knife is the smallest model in our carving knife range. The larger version of this model is the the Whittle Knife. Apart from their size, these knives are very similar; they both feature a carbon steel blade and the traditional Hookhead handle, which has been in production since the early 1920s.
The blade is polished, and like in all our utility knives, the handle is made from birch treated with linseed oil, providing a good and secure grip. The Kloppi’s sheath is made from either light or dark vegetable-tanned bull leather and follows a traditional Finnish design.
The carbon steel blade is sharp and relatively easy to maintain, but it does require some care and maintenance. The blade must always be dried after use and ideally oiled with food-grade oil. The knife should never be left wet in its sheath.
The total length of the sheathed knife is 17 cm, with the knife itself measuring 15 cm and the blade 6.5 cm.
