The Larry Thorne Knife model is based on the Jäger Knife. It features a 13 cm long carbon steel blade and a lacquered birch handle. The knife's end is decorated with a nickel silver plate engraved with the Heritage Guild's logo. Despite its decorative nature, the blade is the same as that used in the popular Iso Uppo Knife, making it a fully functional tool for trekking.
The blade is coated with a layer of food-grade oil for corrosion protection upon delivery. It can be cleaned, and if the knife is not used with food, it can be protected with CRC or WD40 oil.
Note: If the blade is not protected with any oil and left wet, it will develop black corrosion marks and even rust can occur.
The Larry Thorne Knife model is part of our permanent collection. For every Larry Thorne Knife sold, we donate €10 in operational support to the Larry Thorne Heritage Guild.
