The Pigeon Knife is specifically designed for processing small game. It features a short, 6 cm sharp-tipped, polished carbon steel blade that excels in handling tasks such as processing birds, allowing for precise meat recovery.

The handle is not only visually appealing but also highly functional. The top and bottom are made with birch, while the middle section is crafted from stacked layers of birch bark. The entire handle is treated with linseed oil, providing a good grip. The oiled birch bark layer stays tacky, giving a suede-like feel even when wet or messy during work. The handle's design allows for both a regular grip and a pencil grip for detailed tasks.

This model is specifically developed for handling game birds and small predators. It has been tested and refined in various hunting situations, with input from renowned hunter and competition shooter Simo Perämäki. Its compact size makes it easy to carry in a backpack, pocket, or on a belt. It is great for general outdoor use, except for more demanding carving tasks.

Total length of sheathed knife is 19 cm, the knife itself measures 16 cm, with a 5,5 cm blade.

Carbon steel blades require maintenance – they should always be cleaned and dried after use, and never left in the sheath while wet. Applying a bit of cooking oil to the blade can help protect it. Additionally, the handle should be wiped with linseed oil at least once a year to keep the birch bark flexible. In return, the blade remains incredibly sharp and is easy to hone, with just a few strokes on a sharpening stone or rod keeping it razor-sharp.
