The knives have red painted curly birch handles and polished carbon steel blades. The smaller knife (Junki) has a 7cm long blade, the bigger knife's blade is 10cm long. Decade after another, this masterpiece of craftsmanship has continued to be one of our most famous knife models.
The knives, sheath and belt are entirely handcrafted and take many hours to make.
The decorative engravings on the sheath and knives are all done manually. The hanging loops for the Helavyö belt's ornaments are also shaped from wire and sawed by hand.
Each loop is attached to the belt one by one, not too loose, but in such a way that they jingle. Just like it's always been done!
The belt can easily be shortened to the desired length by removing ornaments from the belt – it is also long enough for more robustly built individuals (115 cm). Longer belts are also available upon special order.
