Originally part of the renowned Helahoito set, the small Junki Knife can also be purchased in its own sheath for smaller hands and lighter tasks.
According to journalist and author Jaakko Ikola, better known as Vaasan Jaakkoo, the Junki could be used "for eating butter and keeping little boys in their place". While these directions may not apply in modern times, the Junki still has many uses: in addition to showcasing it on the Helavyö belt, it can be used for detailed woodwork or handling food around the campfire.
The red Junki features a painted curly birch handle, brass ferrules, and a polished carbon steel blade. The full length of the knife is 15 cm, while the blade is 7 cm long.
The Junki Knife also features as the belt knife in the Children's Helahoito set. Additionally, the knife is available without a blade, known as the Children's Junki.
